I'm Lesmes. I've spent my career across the lines that usually divide this industry: product and technology, delivery and strategy, hands-on building and the boardroom.
I've been around technology since the late 90s, when curiosity meant putting my own website online over a 33.6k modem and taking apart Linux Slackware to understand how it worked. That self-taught, get-your-hands-dirty instinct never went away, and it still drives how I work.
Over the years I've led multidisciplinary teams, shaped products and the strategy behind them, and contributed at board level without ever losing touch with the actual work. I care as much about how things are built and how teams grow as about what ships.
Right now my focus is AI and, increasingly, agents: how to turn them into real value rather than hype. It's where most of my building and tinkering happens, from agent applications to harness engineering and running local LLMs at home.
This site is where I keep my projects and write about what I'm learning. You can also find me on LinkedIn and X.
